This is the complete history of RebirthRO, one of the oldest and most well-known Ragnarok Online private servers ever created. RebirthRO was founded by Syphon in 2004. RebirthRO started in 2004 as Syphon's project. He registered the domain rebirthro.com, paid for the server infrastructure, the hosting, the development costs and everything that kept the server running. From the very beginning, RebirthRO was built to be a quality pre-renewal Ragnarok Online experience with fair rates and a strong community.

The server quickly grew into one of the most popular Ragnarok Online private servers in the world, attracting thousands of players from Southeast Asia, Europe, the United States and beyond.

RebirthRO built one of the strongest communities in Ragnarok Online private server history. The playerbase was majority Southeast Asian, with the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia making up the biggest part. European and American players formed a strong second group.

Remy then positioned himself as the real owner of RebirthRO. That claim has no basis. Syphon built and funded the server from the beginning. The original rebirthro.com domain still belongs to Syphon, which is the clearest proof of real ownership.

In 2017, Syphon rebuilt the real RebirthRO continuation under the RevivalRO name at ragnarevival.com. The community, the GM team, the updates and the development all continued there under Syphon's ownership.
